VTR (now merged with Claro) will compensate 29,606 customers for service disruptions in August 2024 due to a weather event. The total compensation amounts to $46,554,778 Chilean pesos, averaging $1,572 per customer.
The agreement covers customers who filed complaints with Sernac, Subtel, or VTR through any channel (web, in-person, or call center). It also includes those residing in the same block as a complainant.
The agreement has been submitted to the 6th Civil Court of Santiago for approval.
