UConn received a $15 million donation from alumni Denis and Britta Nayden for the Nayden Center for Academic Excellence.
The Nayden Center will be part of the Bailey Student-Athlete Success Center, an 80,000 sq ft renovation.
The donation will fund facility development, programming, diverse services, and endowed scholarships for student-athletes.
The 12,000 sq ft Nayden Center will support holistic student-athlete development, academic success, and well-being.
It will facilitate learning, testing, meetings, tutoring, and other academic activities.
The donation aims to provide exceptional academic resources and support to UConn student-athletes.
Student-athletes with a 3.0 GPA or higher will be recognized as "Nayden Scholars."
