The Fox in Shadingfield, near Beccles, Suffolk, has reopened after a nine-month renovation by new owners Kai Willenbring and Jo Brand. Mr. Willenbring, who purchased the pub in 2021, decided to manage it himself after it was closed since last September.
The couple aims to create a traditional English pub serving good food and local ales. They've been encouraged by a successful opening weekend and plan to make it a community hub.
The pub has assembled a culinary team including head chef David Murty and sous chef Scott Dickinson, previously from Graze at The White Horse in Beccles. They express enthusiasm for their work and the team spirit.
Beyond food and drinks, The Fox plans to offer live music and events in the future.
