Santander, in collaboration with F1RST and AWS, is launching its third edition of the Santander Code Girls program, offering 5,000 free technology training scholarships to women aged 18 and above. No prior experience or higher education is required.
The two-month online program covers fundamental and advanced concepts in automation and DevOps, preparing participants for the AWS Cloud Practitioner certification. Topics include cloud computing, instance management, networking, databases, Lambda, Kubernetes, monitoring tools, and security best practices.
The top 250 participants will receive AWS certification vouchers and consideration for technology analyst positions at F1RST in SĂŁo Paulo.
The initiative aims to address the underrepresentation of women in the Brazilian technology sector, where they account for less than 20% of IT professionals, according to the Pretalab's “Mulheres na TI 2023” study. The program seeks to provide women with the skills and opportunities needed to enter the field.
