Race Results

The NB 42K Porto Alegre Marathon took place on August 27th, attracting approximately 10,000 participants across various distances (42km, 21km, 10km, and 5km). Tiringu Mulu broke the Brazilian women's marathon record, earning a total of R$150,000 in prize money (R$50,000 for winning and R$100,000 for the record). Johnatas Cruz won the men's 42km race.

Notable Participants

Gabriel Alves Pozzo achieved the best time among Brazilian runners in the 42km race. Former Grêmio soccer player André participated in the 10km race, describing his experience as challenging but enjoyable. Geny Mascarello, a 70+ year-old runner, shared her passion for the sport and success in past marathons.

International Participation

The marathon included international participants, including runners from Kenya, Ethiopia, Spain, and Morocco. Jesus Faria do Amaral, a 58-year-old runner from Manaus, praised the marathon route and the hospitality of Porto Alegre.
