Lawrence High School's girls' soccer team achieved a 2-1 victory against Gardner Edgerton on Tuesday. This win brought their season record to 4-3, marking their best win total since 2021.
Gardner Edgerton took the lead in the first half. Lawrence tied the game in the second half with a penalty kick scored by junior Stella Comparato. The winning goal came with under six minutes remaining, scored by freshman Mary Jane Sachs.
Coach Joe Comparato highlighted the team's improved competitiveness in the Sunflower League and their ability to score late in games. He emphasized the players' growing confidence in their scoring ability.
Lawrence will play their next match against Mill Valley on Thursday at 7 p.m.
