Kerala has achieved 100% digital literacy, a feat accomplished through the state government's 'Digi Kerala' program. Over 21 lakh individuals, including senior citizens, have completed the program.
The program, initially piloted in Pullampara panchayat, expanded across the state. Training covered various aspects of digital technology, from making video calls to accessing government services and using social media.
A large network of 2.57 lakh volunteers, including members of various community organizations, conducted the training in various locations such as homes, libraries, and workplaces.
The program's success is validated by a 98% pass rate among participants following an evaluation. A third-party verification process was implemented to ensure the accuracy of figures. The program exceeded the National Digital Literacy Mission's guidelines by including people of all ages.
