Southampton FC sacked manager Ivan Juric after a disappointing season resulting in relegation to the Championship. Simon Rusk, previously assistant manager at Dundee FC and Southampton's U21 manager, will take interim charge for the remaining seven Premier League matches.
Rusk's career includes roles at Nottingham Forest as a set-piece coach, the England youth setup, and as assistant manager at Dundee FC under Mark McGhee. His tenure with Dundee saw limited success.
Rusk will be assisted by Adam Lallana. His objective is to lead Southampton in the remaining matches, aiming to surpass Derby County's record of 11 points in a similar situation. The first match under his interim leadership will be against Aston Villa.
