East Grand Rapids Crew's Boathouse Upgrade

The East Grand Rapids High School varsity crew team has initiated a $500,000 capital campaign to renovate its boathouse in John Collins Park. The expansion plans include a new 1,584 square-foot second-story training center, space for 35 ergometers, lockers, a meeting room, weight training equipment, and a new sidewalk entrance.

Campaign Goals and Impact

The project aims to improve training facilities for current and future students, expanding opportunities to include middle schoolers. The campaign concludes October 31st, with construction beginning during the off-season.

Recent Achievements

The team recently concluded its 22nd season with notable achievements at national races in Philadelphia, including a gold medal in the girls lightweight quad and a silver medal in the boys varsity four.
