The Department of Energy (DOE) announced the development of NERSC-10, a high-performance supercomputer designed to significantly advance research in artificial intelligence and fusion energy.
NERSC-10 is projected to be over ten times faster than the current leading machine at the National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center (NERSC).
Energy Secretary Chris Wright lauded the system as crucial for accelerating innovation in energy production and affordability. The supercomputer is named after Jennifer Doudna, a Nobel laureate biochemist.
