Grêmio's forward, Amuzu, sustained a head injury during a match against Ceará, leading to his substitution. He was taken to a hospital in Fortaleza for examinations.
Amuzu underwent a tomography scan which revealed no abnormalities. He returned to the team hotel and is under the care of the Grêmio medical team.
Following FIFA concussion protocol, Amuzu will be sidelined for five days. This means he will miss the upcoming Copa Sul-Americana match against Atlético Grau. A possible return is slated for the next Brazilian Championship match against Flamengo.
Cristian Olivera and Alexander Aravena are potential replacements for Amuzu during his absence.
