Three charged in Lycoming County district courts with shoplifting in separate cases | News, Sports, Jobs - Williamsport Sun-Gazette
Within minutes after walking out of the Dollar General on Allegheny Street in Jersey Shore with a beverage she never paid for on the afternoon of April 28, Lisa Worden, 55, was nabbed by a Lycoming Regional police officer who was en route to the store to investigator the theft, according to an affidavit. Worden, of Beech Creek, was on probation for shoplifting when the officer took her into custody in the 100 blockTomb Avenue, just west of the business, police said. This was her fourth shoplifting arrest.
Following her arraignment before District Judge Denise Dieter, Worden was released on $15,000 bail.
In another case, county prison inmate Jocelyn Gardner-Fox, 36, of 816 Park Ave., has been charged by city police with misdemeanor shoplifting after she stole $175 worth of merchandise from Family Dollar, 328 Memorial Ave., on Sept. 16, it was alleged in affidavit filed at the office of District Judge Aaron Biichle. The theft was caught on video and a police officer recognized her from previous incidents.
Jailed since late February on other criminal matter, Gardner-Fox has waived her preliminary hearing, and bail in this case was set at $10,000, according to court records.
In another case, Lauren Marie Wynkoop, 19, of 912 W. Fourth St., apartment 1W, has been charged by city police with misdemeanor shoplifting after she was caught allegedly trying to flee Wegmans, 201 William St., with $398 worth of merchandise on Feb. 24. She has since waived her preliminary hearing before Biichle and is free on $5,000 bail.
