Sierra Alexis Young-Bey, 27, of 2500 Federal Ave., apartment 230, was arrested following a disturbance at her home on the morning of May 2 when she refused to surrender to city police who had a warrant for her for violating a protection from abuse order, according to an affidavit. When officers arrived, she opened her second-floor window “and began yelling at a very unreasonable noise level. She refused to come to her front door and refused” to stop yelling, it was stated in the court document. Officers were forced to get a key to get inside the apartment, police said, adding that once in custody, Young-Bey continued screaming and creating a commotion, which was witnessed by her 4-year-old child. Once at the police station, she began “violently flailing her arms and legs while shackled,” it was alleged. Arraigned before District Judge William Solomon on misdemeanor charges of flight to avoid apprehension, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, Young-Bey was initially jailed, but has since been released on $5,000 bail.
