Happy Easter to those who celebrate.

Things are not turning out as Trump expected. We’re less than 100 days into the second regime, and already the train is coming off the tracks.

First of all, the country is overwhelmingly unhappy with his performance. CNBC finds Trump’s approval rating for handling the economy is at the lowest level of his presidential career. On overall approval, Trump has gone net negative with every pollster - falling from +8.2 net approval at inauguration to -5.2 net approval 88 days later - the worst number of any president in polling history, except Trump 1.0.

Trump seems to know this, and he sent one heck of a cheerful Easter message on his Truth Social this morning, disparaging not only the “the Radical Left Lunatics”(check, he knows about the mass protests), but also “the WEAK and INEFFECTIVE Judges and Law Enforcement Officials” (check, he doesn’t like not getting his way), and “Sleepy Joe Biden” (three former presidents spoke out against him this week…unprecedented).

Let’s break it down - why is Trump so unhappy, and therefore what can we celebrate.
