Train hits vehicle at Hainault level crossing

A train collided with a vehicle at a level crossing in Hainaut, disrupting traffic between La Louvière and Mons in both directions since 7:30 a.m., Infrabel reported on Friday.

The incident occurred at a level crossing in Thieu, a district of Le Rœulx.

According to Infrabel, the vehicle was crossing the tracks when it was hit by the train.

Police have been deployed to the scene. However, it was not immediately clear when train services would be restored.
