The investigation into the assassination attempt on Senator Miguel Uribe is underway. The Glock used was legally purchased in Arizona in 2020, raising questions about its entry into Colombia. Authorities have identified the buyer and are investigating how the gun ended up at the scene and why it was handled by Officer David Urrea without proper chain of custody after apprehending the underage shooter.
Videos show a man in a red hood violently assaulting the shooter. The officer collected the gun, and the Fiscalía found the shooter's fingerprints on it. The investigation also seeks to identify the man in the red hood who violently assaulted the teenager before fleeing the scene.
Another key aspect of the investigation is the missing cellphone of the shooter. Chats on the phone may reveal information about the planning of the attack and the identity of those involved. Authorities are actively searching for the phone, which the Police Director, General Carlos Triana, stated was not found at the scene or on the teenager.
Attorney General Luz Adriana Camargo emphasized the significance of this phone in the investigation and confirmed that while not found on the teenager, they are working to trace its location as images show him using it before the attack.

Autoridades ya tienen el nombre del comprador de la 9 milímetros y ahora se busca determinar cómo llegó al parque 'el Golfito' de Modelia y por qué fue manipulada por un patrullero, de nombre David Urrea, luego de que se capturó al menor señalado de disparar.
Videos muestran que mientras un hombre de capota roja golpeaba violentamente al joven que disparó, el patrullero recogió la Glock 9 milímetros sin cadena de custodia.
Al respecto, la Fiscalía aseguró que se encontraron huellas del menor en el arma y que se le hizo la prueba de absorción atómica y con los resultados se judicializó su captura.

Investigadores también le dijeron a EL TIEMPO que buscan establecer la identidad de un sujeto que golpeó violentamente al joven en el piso y que huyó del lugar cuando le pidieron identificarse.
Al mismo sujeto se le escucha decir en el video que iba a apuñalar al joven: "Yo no tengo nada que perder, a lo bien. H.p acostumbrado, no lo defiendan".
Otro punto que se busca aclarar es dónde está el celular del joven del que salieron los chats con otro sujeto, con quien al parecer estaba cuadrando la ruta de escape tras cometer el ataque.
El aparato no aparece, así lo confirmó el mismo director de la Policía, general Carlos Triana, quien informó que al adolescente no le encontraron ningún celular y tampoco encontraron alguno en el lugar del crimen.
La fiscal general Luz Adriana Camargo aseguró que este teléfono, sería clave para la investigación que han realizado peritos de la Fiscalía, sí han encontrado que el menor tenía un teléfono celular, que podría ser la prueba reina para dar con quién contrató al joven.
“En el momento de la aprehensión del menor, quiero insistir en lo que ha transmitido el general Triana, al menor no le fue recuperado un celular. Sin embargo, estamos haciendo un rastreo, porque en unas imágenes, anteriores al atentado, se le ve con un celular (...) Estamos identificando quién, o en poder de quién, pudo quedar este celular”, aseguró la fiscal Camargo.
