The couple had been married for nine years when their relationship sensationally exploded amid rumors of a scandalous affair.

It sparked a much-publicized feud, with TV star Brandi Glanville branding her ex-husband  a 'liar' and claiming she 'wanted to kill' his new wife, who he married a year later.

But - after 15 years and one Christmas together - the 52-year-old has revealed the former couple are putting the past behind them for the sake of their two sons Mason, 21, and Jake, 17.

'We do what we can for the kids,' she tells the Daily Mail in an exclusive interview.

'It's not like we're all besties, but we have gotten to the point where we can be around each other and we can chat and have a good day.'

But, as showbusiness watchers know, it hasn't always been that way.

The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star ended her nine-year marriage to actor Eddie Cibrian in 2010 after his affair with country star LeAnn Rimes.

Back in 2009, Cibrian and Rimes starred in the TV movie Northern Lights together - sparking rumors they were having an affair.

Recalling the claims, Glanville later admitted there had been 'warning signs' that Cibrian, now 51, was cheating on her.

In an op-ed for The Sun, she wrote: 'I'd sometimes visit him on set and notice chemistry with certain co-stars. I'd ask him if something had gone down, but he'd tell me I was crazy.

'He'd say I was jealous and that he loved me. Then I'd think it was my fault, that I really was being crazy. But in my gut I knew I was probably right.'

While they denied the reported affair - Rimes was also married to chef Dean Sheremet at the time - in March that year they were photographed 'kissing over a table' and 'sucking each other's fingers' at a restaurant in California.

'It was insane,' Glanville recalled. 'They were sucking on each other's fingers in the footage yet he was telling me nothing was happening.'

Weeks later, reports surfaced that Cibrian had also had an affair with Vanderpump Rules waitress, Scheana Shay.

At that point, Glanville said, she went 'crazy', telling The Sun: 'I was f***ing done. Eddie told me he had stopped seeing LeAnn but I knew he was lying.'

The couple divorced the following year while Rimes, now 42, also ended her eight-year marriage to Sheremet. Rimes and Cibrian married during a sunset ceremony in California the following April.

But in the years that followed, a scorned Glanville launched several attacks on Rimes.

Glanville has previously revealed she 'wanted to kill' Rimes in 2010 after her then two-year-old son Jake sat on her lap at a soccer game.

'I had this rage in my body. I really wanted to kill her,' she recalled. 'I walked over to her, grabbed Jake and I looked at her and said: "I will f***ing murder you."'

In 2012, she even accused Rimes of having an eating disorder and claimed her son Mason had got 'extremely ill' after eating a laxative from her purse – which the singer denied.

Five years later, the feud escalated further with a slew of public tirades. Glanville accused the singer of having an 'obsession with her' and 'copying [her] life' by booking the same dentists and plastic surgeons.

She also accused Rimes of being a 'stalker' after they turned up at the same restaurant in Malibu for dinner.

But the feud wasn't entirely one-sided. Eddie publicly hit back at his ex-wife's allegations, calling her 'ridiculous' and describing her behavior as 'sad, sick [and] concerning'.

The back-and-forth finally reached a stalemate in 2018, when the trio came together at Jake's 11th birthday party and 'got into a really serious conversation'.

Glanville told Spencer and Heidi Pratt's podcast at the time: 'We just kind of had it out about what is right, what is wrong, what's better for the kids, and what bothered me and what bothered her.'

The tense sit-down lasted for 'hours' but the once-feuding wives sealed their newfound friendship with a smiling selfie on Instagram.

They even celebrated Christmas together in December, with Glanville publicly thanking the couple for their support during her health battle

Since then, the two appear to have buried the hatchet.

In 2021, Glanville told the the Hollywood Raw podcast that she and Rimes were like 'sister wives' and 'get along really well'.

She added: 'I think our kids had a lot to do with it because the kids love when we're all together, and it's so obvious. They're so happy.'

In December they even celebrated Christmas together with Glanville, who has spent $70,000 trying to diagnose a mysterious facial disfigurement, thanking the couple for their support.

Posting a photo of their Christmas celebrations on Instagram, she wrote: 'Not my favorite look for my face but I felt ALL the love from my modern family.

'Thanks Eddie, LeAnn, Mason, Jake and all of the friends and grandparents. Big thanks to Le for offering to help with my situation.'
