Knicks’ grades from Thursday night’s 116-113 series-clinching Game 6 win over the Pistons in Detroit:
Captain Clutch earned his nickname. Wasn’t pretty after an exquisite first quarter from Brunson, but the point guard hit the game-winner and silenced a crowd that had been taunting him all series.
Disappeared again while only taking 10 shots and fouling out. Knicks need to figure out a way to get Towns going for any chance against the Celtics.
Was at his best playoffs-best through three quarters, aggressive and driving and converting at a high percentage. Then scored zero in the fourth quarter before tipping in a Brunson miss for a huge bucket down the stretch.
