A 17-year-old from Waukesha, Wisconsin, Nikita Casap, is accused of murdering his parents, Tatiana Casap and Donald Mayer, as part of a plan to assassinate former President Donald Trump and overthrow the U.S. government. He faces nine felony charges in state court, including homicide and concealing a corpse, and three federal charges related to conspiracy, weapons of mass destruction, and presidential assassination.
The investigation began with a welfare check on February 28th after Casap's absence from school and family's inability to contact his parents. Authorities discovered the parents' bodies in their home and tracked Casap's movements to Wyoming, Iowa, and Kansas. Casap was apprehended with a firearm, ammunition, the victims' wallets, and significant cash in Mayer's stolen vehicle.
The FBI's investigation uncovered evidence linking Casap to the Order of Nine Angles (O9A), a neo-Nazi and white supremacist group. Casap allegedly used usernames like â@accelerationistâ and âAwokenâ to communicate online about a self-described manifesto detailing assassination plans and bomb-making. A three-page document titled âAccelerate the Collapse,â advocating for Trump's assassination to trigger political revolution, was also discovered.
Evidence also suggests Casap researched drone attacks and planned to utilize a drone as a weapon of mass destruction. He allegedly discussed his plans with a person in Russia to overthrow the U.S. government. Casap mentioned his plans to a classmate, who informed authorities.
Casap's arraignment is scheduled for May 7th. The investigation continues, revealing a complex case involving parental homicide and far-right extremist ideology.
He faces nine felony charges, including two counts of first-degree homicide and two counts of hiding a corpse, according to Waukesha County court records.
A 17-year-old from Waukesha, Wisconsin, allegedly killed his parents as part of a plot to overthrow the United States government, including calls to assassinate President Donald Trump, according to newly unsealed federal records.
He has not yet entered pleas for any of the charges, according to the county court docket.
After no one answered the door, a sheriffâs deputy entered the home and found Tatiana Casap deceased, âlikely from gunshot wounds,â and covered in blankets. The sheriffâs office then requested cellphone pings for Mayer and Nikita, finding that both phones were located in the area of Laramie, Wyoming.
Authorities searched the Waukesha residence again, finding Mayer, also deceased from gunshot wounds and covered in blankets, in the first-floor office. Deputies found a receipt for a .357 magnum revolver but did not find the gun in the house.
Based on an extensive review of security footage, cellphone records, and witness statements, authorities believe Mayer and Tatiana Casap were killed on Feb. 11.
Subsequent cellphone pings showed Nikitaâs phone stationary at a truckstop in Walcott, Iowa, on Feb. 24. Walcott police provided security footage showing the teen operating Mayerâs black Volkswagen Atlas SUV, traveling alone with the family dog.
Authorities listed Mayerâs vehicle as stolen on the evening of Feb. 28, and entered Nikita as a missing juvenile. A little more than an hour later, the WaKeeney Kansas Police Department saw and stopped Mayerâs SUV with Nikita inside.
Also referred to as 09A, the group âadvocates for the use of violence and terrorism to overthrow governments and destroy modern civilization,â the FBI stated in the affidavit.
The agency said Nikita, according to a review of his phone, was allegedly using the usernames â@accelerationistâ and âAwokenâ and had images and communications referencing a self-described manifesto about assassinating Trump, making bombs, and conducting terrorist attacks.
The FBI found messages on Nikitaâs phone under the âAwokenâ username in which he allegedly discussed consuming the terrorist groupâs teachings and being visited by the FBI in 2023 for what the bureau described as âunrelated internet IP activity.â
In other messages under the â@accelerationistâ username, Nikita allegedly references a manifesto document with an unknown user.
âWhen the time comes for me to send my manifesto to you (so that you can spread it online), should it be pdf?â Nikita allegedly asked the user.
Investigators also found screenshots of a three-page document called âAccelerate the Collapse,â which had been generated on Feb. 28.
âThe document appears to be the manifesto referenced by @accelerationist, in the messages with the unknown user in the above paragraph, calling for the assassination of the President of the United States in order to foment political revolution in the United States and âsave the white raceâ from âJewish controlled' politicians,â the affidavit reads.
The third page contained images of Adolf Hitler with the text âHAIL HITLER HAIL THE WHITE RACE HAIL VICTORY.â
The FBI included several excerpts from the alleged manifesto, including the following:
âAs to why, specifically Trump, I think itâs obvious. By getting rid of the president and perhaps the vice president, that is guaranteed to bring in some chaos. And not only that, but it will further bring into the public the idea that assassinations and accelerating the collapse are possible things to do.â
The teen seemingly paid, at least in part, for the drone and explosives for an attack, investigators said, according to conversations Nikita allegedly had with a user informing him how to convert a drone into a weapon of mass destruction.
A search of the teenâs phone also found images of Mayerâs credit and debit cards, as well as the username and password of a bank account.
In March, a classmate told police that Nikita had mentioned plans of killing his parents but did not have access to a gun, the affidavit says, adding that he then told the classmate he would befriend someone who owned a gun so he could steal it.
The FBI also said that Nikita had told the classmate that he was speaking with someone in Russia who was planning on overthrowing the U.S. government and assassinating Trump.
An arraignment for Nikita is scheduled for May 7, according to the Waukesha County court docket.
