Gwen Stefani sent her die-hard fans spiraling thanks to a social media post that proved, in their eyes, that she was “officially lost” to President Donald Trump’s MAGA movement.

Stefani praised actor Jonathan Roumie as a “powerful inspirational human” in an X post last week, while gushing over his interview with far-right commentator Tucker Carlson.

“What an enlightening intelligent beautiful interview thank you for being you gx,” wrote Stefani, 55, of Roumie.

Roumie, who portrays Jesus in the evangelist TV series The Chosen, spent the conversation peddling the power of prayer and fasting as part of his pitch for the “Christian and Catholic” prayer and meditation app, Hallow.

Stefani, a devout Catholic who has made several pious posts in partnership with Hallow, appeared to be holding up her end of the deal by backing Roumie. Actors Mark Wahlberg, another devout Catholic, and Chris Pratt, who compared himself to Jesus, are also involved with the company.

The app costs $70 per year with a premium subscription. And as much as many were surprised by Stefani’s involvement with Hallow, many others weren’t.

“Gwen as a long time fan you’re making it harder and harder to keep supporting you please don’t platform Tucker Carlson the Russian propagandist good lord,” wrote one X user in response to her praise for Roumie and Carlson’s chat.

Another commentator added, “You honestly need a reality check God this is heartbreaking.”

Stefani, 55, leaned heavily into queer acceptance with a solo pop music career that was buoyed by LGBTQ fans, after spending more than 30 years as the frontwoman of the rock group No Doubt.

And while her commitment to her Catholic faith has never been a secret—she has been frequently photographed taking her three sons to church—fans suspect her country singer husband Blake Shelton is behind her conservative makeover.

“Gwen Stefani seems like one of those girls who just completely absorbs and becomes whatever man she’s with,” added one commentator on X. “Eventually they’ll divorce and she’ll have a ballad about how she lost who she was for him.”

Shelton appeared to endorse Trump’s rise in a 2016 Billboard interview, fresh off his divorce with fellow country singer Miranda Lambert.

“Whether you love him or hate him, he says what he thinks, and he has proven that you don’t always have to be so afraid,” Shelton said.

Stefani reportedly waited years to marry husband Shelton because she wanted to get her marriage to British rocker Gavin Rossdale annulled by the Vatican.

Stefani spent 13 years married to Rossdale, having three sons together before divorcing amid rumors of infidelity.

Rossdale has hinted that he and Stefani have “opposing views” as parents and “don’t co-parent,” reported The Independent. He also said that they are “really different people.”

Some commentators took those differences to mean differences in political views and values.

“Why are people surprised that Gwen Stefani is a right wing lunatic?” wrote another commentator on X. “Miss thing made a career out of cosplaying as other ethnicities and married a country music guy. lol like….lets use our brains.”

Stefani has described her marriage to Shelton as a “blessing.”

“She has such a strong faith in God,” said Shelton in a 2022 interview with Lon Helton at the Country Radio Seminar. “I mean, if Gwen was sitting here right now, she would [say it’s] God, and then everything else. That’s number one in her life and has been her whole life. She doesn’t beat you over the head with it; she would never do that.”
