John Paulson, a prominent investor, has decided to withdraw his candidacy for the position of Treasury Secretary in President-elect Donald Trump's administration.
Paulson cited complex financial obligations as the reason for his withdrawal. He stated that these obligations would prevent him from officially serving in the Trump administration.
Despite withdrawing from the candidacy, Paulson expressed his intention to remain actively involved with President Trump's economic team and to assist in implementing the President's economic policies.
