Annie Leibovitz, renowned celebrity photographer, recently acquired a luxurious duplex penthouse in Manhattan's West Village for a staggering $16.5 million. The sale was conducted off-market.
The seller was identified as Helen Marden, an artist. She and her late husband, Brice Marden, had owned the approximately 4,700-square-foot apartment since 1999, shortly after the building's completion.
The 11-story building, designed by Cary Tamarkin, features an industrial style with seven full-floor units and two penthouses. The apartment itself is located at 495 West Street.
