British brandy house Burnt Faith has added a trio of liqueurs to its lineup.

Elderflower Liqueur, Coffee Liqueur and Triple Sec (all rsps: £23/70cl) have launched initially via DTC.

They are produced at Burnt Faith’s distillery in Walthamstow, north-east London.

Produced in batches of just 800 bottles, the liqueurs use an alcoholic base of brandy and eau de vie. Two of the tipples are also made with locally sourced ingredients.

Burnt Faith Elderflower liqueur was made using elderflower foraged from Walthamstow wetlands to create “a bright, fresh, floral elderflower liqueur with a broad depth of flavour”, said Burnt Faith.

Burnt Faith Coffee Liqueur, meanwhile, had a “deep, rich indulgent flavour” from Brazilian coffee roasted by east London supplier Climpson & Sons. Paired with brandy aged in bourbon casks, it offered “a punch of freshly brewed espresso softened with indulgent notes of tiramisu, mocha, and salted dark caramel”.

Rounding out the range, Burnt Faith Triple Sec was “a bright, bold, unmistakable brandy-based orange liqueur” that used sweet, bitter, and blood oranges.

“The liqueurs project started with a simple ask from our brandy house bar for a modern brandy-based triple sec packed with zesty orange flavour, but it soon became so much more,” said Burnt Faith founder Simon Wright. “Our eyes opened to what we could develop with our brandy in the liqueur space, and it allowed us to go further and create even more intense flavours from our local surroundings.”

By using brandy as the lead distillate in its liqueurs, Burnt Faith was able to “stay true to our north star of brandy without boundaries” and highlight the “undervalued versatility and quality” of the spirit, Wright added.

Burnt Faith was launched as the first dedicated UK brandy house in April 2023. Its flagship ‘Batch One’ brandy is stocked in Tesco and Waitrose, as well as in Harvey Nichols, on Amazon and with The Whisky Exchange.
