A 70-year-old Myrtle Beach man, Michael Dean, is reported to have shot into a home on Sun Meadow Drive in Conway, South Carolina, resulting in a fatal shooting.
The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Conway Police responded to reports of shots fired and found Dean with life-threatening injuries at the scene.
According to Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard, the homeowner returned fire after Dean allegedly shot into their residence.
Authorities are investigating the incident, which is believed to be domestic-related. The Conway Police Department is handling the investigation and a report has been requested.

Michael Dean, 70, of Myrtle Beach, allegedly entered a home along the 1500 block of Sun Meadow Drive at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to a Conway Police Department social media post.
Dean allegedly shot into the house, which led to the homeowner shooting back, wrote Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard in an email.
At 9:37 p.m., Conway Police were called for shots fired. They found the Myrtle Beach man with life threatening injuries at the home.
The incident appears to be a domestic situation, Conway Police wrote. The Sun News requested the incident report. The Conway Police Department is investigating.
