Williamsport police along with paramedics and firefighters rushed to West Fourth Street and Wayne Avenue in the city’s Newberry neighborhood for a reported stabbing about 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

A 17-year-old male and 16-year-old female both suffered superficial injuries while struggling over a knife a few blocks south, police said. The girl ran to a house near West Fourth Street and Wayne Avenue. Both she and the other teen declined medical treatment, police said.

The investigation was ongoing, police added.
